Insurance
If you plan on using insurance to pay for your surgery, you should begin by first verifying that bariatric surgery is a covered benefit and not an exclusion (by your employer) by calling your insurance company. You should also ensure that you can come to us for bariatric surgery. HMO patients are usually not covered to go outside of their network, however there are certain circumstances when it is allowed, please call our office at (800) 283 - 5483 and our patient representatives can help you. PPO patients have more freedom to choose the doctors they want, however please make sure that it is not an exclusion in your benefits.
To obtain an approval for surgery through your insurance company you may need to complete certain tests and evaluations from either your primary care physician or we may refer you to other specialists.
Cash
Patients without insurance can pay CASH. Please call our office at (800) 283 - 5483.
Financing
We offer financing packages through Care Credit. They offer several plans including an 84-month extended payment plan.They will work with you to set a schedule that fits your budget. If you already have Care Credit you may use it here with Surgilite and we can request an increase in your spending limits if so needed.
